Movie producer ASHOK AMRITRAJ left India for the United States in 1975. Back then he was a professional tennis player.
Ashok Amritraj is celebrating 30 years in the movie business
But as a kid growing up in Chennai, he always had an eye for the movies.
And in 1980 he swapped the world of tennis volleys for the world of camera dollies to become a movie producer.
Since then he’s made a hundred movies including Traitor starring Don Cheadle and Guy Pearce, Premonition with Sandra Bullock, and Bringing Down The House with Steve Martin and Queen Latifah.
My Movie Mundo caught up with Amritraj on a recent trip to the UK to celebrate his 30th year in the movie business.
